Strawberry Desserts

Strawberry Desserts

Some topics deserve serious attention. Strawberry desserts is one of those. I even came across a page in Wikipedia called: List of Strawberry Dishes. (Source) So, here’s a summation of the most well-known strawberry ‘dishes’ on that list: Chocolate-covered strawberries, Eton Mess, Frasier, Pavlova, Strawberry Cake, Strawberry Cheesecake, Strawberry Delight, Strawberry Ice Cream, Strawberry Parfait, Strawberry Jam, Strawberry Pie, Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie, Strawberry Sundae and a Candied Strawberry called Tanghulu which is a traditional Chinese confection. For a description and picture of each of these, go here.

Here’s a 3-minute video on making Strawberry Delight. Here’s an 8-minute video that showcases the following strawberry desserts: no-bake strawberry pie, strawberry cobbler and a strawberry-hot fudge sundae with puff pastry as the base! Here’s a 4-minute video on making strawberry shortcake with traditional sweet biscuits.

  1. Those strawberry dessert pictures look delicious! I have to admit I’m more of a cherry fan myself, though.

  2. wow you just made me hungry love them but not by themself lol yahh crazy will eat in a cake or milkshake or smoothy and others ways .. my daughter does them in her water overnight to drink and her homemade smoothys will have to check this page out lol well tell her to do it lol

  3. Gosh, I want those desserts! It’s 515am at work here and I’m really craving strawberries now lol. And your bracelets are stunning!

  4. I love strawberries! I have three favorites: Chocolate nut sundae with strawberries on top, Strawberry and chocolate cheesecake and a strawberry, vanilla and chocolate milkshake

  5. I adore strawberries, but I do sometimes get hives from them. I just cannot help myself. They are so luscious when they are ripe and sweet

  6. Okay you made me hungry at 4 am in the morning. I thought I was going to sleep and now all I can do is think about eating some of those desserts. I think I could do about 3-4 justice then I’d be too full for anymore. But give them to me anyway and if I end up in the hospital I’ll say it’s my own damn fault. Caris you seem to be hitting me hard lately. The pictures look so good but I’d reck them in short time if I had those desserts.

  7. I love strawberries, seeing those pictures made me want some. I remember growing up helping my mother pick strawberries so we could eat them just like that or she made srawberry shortcake . During the summer I will make strawberry shortcake myself. I also like Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie, which I haven’t had in years. I eat strawberries on my pancakes and in salads here in Tennessee some of the restaurants will have them on there menu while they are in season here like now.

  8. Nothing more inviting than a bowl of fresh strawberries. They are sweet and soft yet firm. I put them on my shopping list for today. Thanks for the reminder. AAAAHHH.

  9. I love strawberries. I’m not supposed to eat them but I do every once in awhile Fresh strawberries have been in a couple of weeks here now from a local farm. People around here can’t wait until they come in. My daddy made a wonderful strawberry cake that I’m making this Sunday actually for our church homecoming. There is a restaurant in North Myrtle beach called the Golden Griddle that has the best strawberry waffle I have ever ate.!!! I have to go a couple of times when we are there. ( somethings are worth the pain to me). I would encourage anyone who goes there on vacation to go to it. Love this post. Sorry for the long post.:)

  10. My husband and I love strawberries sliced with a little bit of sugar. When the local strawberries are out, we go thru a pint every 2 days.

  11. I LOVE strawberries. Plain with a little sugar, covered in dark chocolate and like the pictures #12, #13, & #15. Also love strawberry & rhubarb pie – sweet & sour. 🙂 AZ

  12. My Daughter sent me Chocolate Cover Strawberries for Mother’s Day & I enjoyed every one of them. I can eat strawberries anyway they are served.

  13. Yum, yum, yum.
    I love strawberries.

I make strawberry shortcake using the Bisquick recipe for the biscuits.
I do tweak it a little bit, by adding a little bit more sugar so it’s sweeter.

I’m afraid to even look at that recipe of the desert with the puffy pastry, it looks just too delicious and I would probably eat a whole tray of them.

I tried growing strawberries here in North Carolina. But unless you put netting over the plants, the birds eat them. So I just gave up and I buy organic frozen strawberries.

  14. I guess i’m a purest, strawberry shortcake is my favorite or i just snack on them. I really don’t eat them any other way

    • Melanie,
I had a similar reaction that Strawberry Shortcake had been left off the list! How is that even possible?!?

  15. This is so timely! I just bought strawberries last night and we planted some the other day. Now I just have to go find some recipes, because these pictures just look amazing! I’m drooling!

  16. Every year my Uncle sends me the fruit of the month and May is always strawberries. The fruit is always organic and the strawberries are literally almost as big as my fist. We look forward to getting them every year.

  17. I lived in Maryland and every year we picked strawberries. They gave me a pail and went picked them. I would put one in the pail and would eat two until it was full. Those pictures of those strawberries of those brought those memories. Thank you for that. Do you happen to have any of those recipes for those deserts in your pictures.

Thank you and Have a great day

    • Julia,
Sorry, I don’t have the recipes. The pics were collected from Pixabay without any links. But I’ll bet a good scouring of the Internet will yield what you’re looking for!

  18. Love strawberry cheese cake. I like strawberries just about any way. I make my own strawberry jam every yea. Yum.

  19. A lot of yummy looking strawberry desserts, but I don’t think anything will ever top the Big Boy Whole Strawberry PIe Extravaganza!

  20. I remember going with my brother to pick strawberries as a kid. They were one of the few fruits my brother would actually eat. Strawberries and fresh whipped cream is still a favorite summer treat.

  21. This is the Merry Berry Month of May at Eat ‘N Park restaurant and I cannot wait to get their strawberry pie! Just set it down and give me a fork, I’ll eat the whole thing! YUM

  22. Chocolate dipped strawberries from Publix are my treat for doing grocery shopping. Now that the strawberries are here in TN, I’ve made 4 batches of strawberry jam, Sure Jell frozen recipe, 2 for me and 2 for my sister and her daughter. Have to make 1 more to take to relatives when we visit Illinois! YUM!!

  23. Just about any of the berry family would bring a smile to my face. In summer my daughter slices and steeps strawberries in a little liquid that she refuses to name. After a couple of hours in the fridge we eat those beautiful berries over ice cream. Yum!

  24. I love strawberries! Every picture looks phenomenal. The desserts with cream are particularly appealing. I think my favorite recipe is a strawberry jello salad that my mother makes. I have never made it as I just have it at her home. I also love white chocolate covered strawberries that my sister-in-law makes at Christmas.
