Special Photos

IAuthor Photonspiring Food!

Hi, Everyone! Welcome to photos of Inspiring Food. As I cruised Pixabay this week, I kept seeing this lovely bucket of strawberries and finally thought: I should include it in a blog. So here it is. I have seven gorgeous photos for you all about food. Maybe you’ll find some inspiration here or maybe you’ll head straight to the kitchen and make an awesome meal. (BTW – my sweet tooth kicked in and I cut up a few strawberries and sprinkled some unsweetened coconut flakes on them. Definitely, inspired, lol.)

I love to cook. But these days, I don’t have a lot of time. So, hunting on Pixabay for pics it is and sharing them with you here!

For a chance to win a $25.00 Amazon gift card, scroll to the end of the food photos and read the details for entering. You will be leaving a comment as the entry requirement.

  1. My favorite food? Oh, gosh! Hard to choose. I’m really fond of anything that mixes cheese and tomatoes whether Mexican or Italian. Though recently I’ve gone on a Paleo diet for health reasons. In which case, my current favorite food, hands down, is the avocado!

  2. Lesson learned – I really should eat before reading my email. I am hungry and this all looks wonderful! My favorite . . . FOOD! There isn’t a lot I don’t like. (Except Zucchini. You can keep that.) But, what I almost always come back to is fried chicken and gravy. My comfort food. The chicken crispy, the gravy thick. Hmmmm. . . Nothing better. It feeds all my issues quite well. Would you believe that is what I got out for today? Although I had thought I would go a bit healthier today and bake the chicken and not have the gravy. But . . . I am hungry now. All this talk about food! 😉

    • Ahhhhh, fried chicken and gravy. Real comfort food. These days, my chicken has either been roasted or cooked in a crock pot. But, oh, do I remember my mother’s fried chicken. We used to fight over the drumsticks, of course, lol!

  3. My favorite food is a good taco and refried beans. I could live on the stuff. Living here in Arizona, there are a lot of good Mexican food restaurants.
I subscribe to a lot of author newsletters and I enjoy reading yours better than the rest. it is colorful, informative and easy to read.
I also enjoyed reading your books.

    • Joye, thank you on all fronts. I admit I love creating my newsletters, almost as much as I love writing my books. I’m a very visual person, as you’ve probably guessed. I think — or at least I try — to write that way as well.

As for Mexican Food, we have the best in Arizona, don’t we?

  4. Thanks for sharing the great food pictures. Italian food is my favorite, but at this time of the year I love fresh strawberries. Of course, chocolate is wonderful any time!

    • Okay, BookLady, how about lasagna with chocolate-dipped strawberries for desert. And a glass of red wine.

You know what’s hard about blogging about food: Now all I want is lasagna, chocolate-dipped strawberries and a glass of wine. Well, maybe for dinner, lol! Right now it’s a little past 9:00am Arizona time!

    • Mmmm, fried catfish. I haven’t had it, but I’m sure I’d love it! Sometimes, fried anything sounds perfect, lol!

    • I haven’t had my dinner yet, so, boy does that sound good. I’d probably add a salad with crunchy cucumbers…

    • I think anything we love as kids just gets to us when we’re adults. We remember it fondly. One of my favorite foods is enchiladas because it was a rare treat when mom and dad would take us out to eat. But they’d found this small restaurant that made the best enchiladas. Good memories…

  5. I like so many types of food, I will be the one who usually tries the new special in restaurants. A favorite would be ice cream, I always have several in the freezer. Chocolate is always in the house.
