I spent most of August building my new vampire warrior world for the new CHAINS series. The first image that came to me, as I started pondering where to begin, was a cavern with dark, jagged stone walls. And chained to the walls were three gorgeous vampires. That was it! Just that image.
Later, as I started embracing Pinterest and now had an excuse to cruise the web, I started exploring caverns–from the comfort of the Google-sphere, of course–and discovered two things. First, there are some amazing pics of caves out there and second, some people have built beautiful homes in caves. Which got me to thinking: What if this vampire world has made use of caverns all around the world from the time the first vamp emerged from the earth and discovered an intolerance for sunlight. Of course, these homes in caves would have to be magnificent. So now I’m planning what my warriors’ homes look like.
And so it goes…
But here is an example of the kinds of exquisite caves you can find in the cloud.
